Just read this on my not so secret indulgence, a gossip site! Yes, Britney Spears asked a great question. I would probably recommend anything by Isabel Allende or Lisa See to my younger self. I would have loved the complex female characters and the sweeping history. I would also recommend The Lost, A Search for six of six million for a personal touch of the Holocaust or The Modern Jewish Girl’s Guide to Guilt to let me know that others have been in my shoes and in the end, it doesn’t matter if the person you fall for is not Jewish, what matters is how they are to me and the rest of the world.
