What a powerfully painful read. I read The Black Book he references as a teenager in Russian, in fact I chose to bring it with me when we immigrated and it still resides on my desk. My father’s family is both the survivors and the victims of the Nazis in Soviet Ukraine so to me this is a particularly poignant read.

Oh boy there is something brewing!
I’m reading a fantastic book that I am going to be sharing with you all! I must try getting out of my blog about Holocaust books niche but I promise this one is yet another standout that needs to be told about. It’s a wonderful book by Sarah Wildman. A unique, heartbreaking, and yes extraordinary family story, the likes of which I seem to lately love. Stay tuned.
