Trying to find my way back

Been reading much less lately, all that wedding stress. Currently re-reading:

But mostly I’ve been binge watching a lot of Netflix whenever I have free time. Currently this:

Woman in Gold

A few weekends ago Ken and I were parked on our couch watching TV like we do most weekends. We generally have quite a few movies to choose from at any point in time and this time I said that we should finally watch that one Holocaust movie that probably wouldn’t be too dramatic. Yeah I was wrong. Helen Mirren was impeccable as always as Maeia Altmann, an Austrian Jew fighting for her family’s art decades after the Holocaust that took many of their lives. The scenes of Holocaust were dropped in at poignant moments throughout the movie along with beautifully shot moments of her pre-war memories of life untouched by Hitler. And yeah, I bawled like a baby for about 15 minutes.
